Chia seeds are rich source of omega-3 that is very essential most especially to people who have hearts failure conditions and those who suffer from arthritis. Omega-3, though they are considered fats, are good fats that help the body absorbing soluble vitamins. Chia seeds are a good source of nutrition need by the body, they are source of protein. One good thing about chia seeds is that it can repair tissues rapidly and particularly taken by the athletes. It is also proven that chia seeds are safe for pregnant women; in fact it restores tissues and nutrition that are being lost during pregnancy like calcium making it the excellent choice when regaining the calcium a woman to keep her bone strong even after giving birth. In some studies made, chia seeds offer higher amount of calcium than milk.
Today, people are taking chia seeds as form part of their meal by mixing the seeds to yogurt, salads, soup and other kind of food. In fact in Mexico, their bread and biscuits have these chia seeds incorporated in their ingredients. Chia seeds can also be mixed to a glass of water. People are now more conscious about their diet and chia seeds are the best choice when it comes to reducing weight and making the body healthier. It is a good source of fibre which is a bog help in detoxifying the body and letting toxins out of the body.
Chia seeds are also good for diabetics because when being taken, it forms as a gel in the stomach wherein it slows the process of converting carbohydrates into sugars. Chia seeds can hold a large amount of water which can stay into the body longer keeping the body hydrated all the time.
